I was thinking of missing pet posters when I did this project. Signs were recollected after 24 hours: wildlife is fleeting as is sometimes our idea of it.

The sign reads: "California Grizzly once roamed the Los Angeles basin in large numbers. The California goldrush was its death knell. Last one shot in 1922, declared extinct in the state in 1924. Was made official state animal in 1953".
